Basic Photoshop Skill: Color Modifications

II. Tweaking Hue and Saturation

I rarely use this, but it’s a good starting point if you want to change the basic shade of your photo. To access Hue and Saturation, go to Image in the top menu, then click Hue and Saturation.

Click Colorize and play with the settings (you may adjust Hue, Saturation, and Lightness) until you’re happy with the colors.

  2. hi yan,

I shot a picture of a very fair-skinned guy in the open sun and i failed to adjust my aperture. His skin is virtually white and lacks the details of the muscles, it just looks quite bad. I went over the dark bronze skin color manipulation procedure you posted ehre, but all I got is a high-contract poster effect that I did not like. I was targeting a bronzed, latino look for the guy since he’s really brazilian, but in reality, he’s just too pale. Wish there was a way to show you the pic. Hope you could help :) Thanks in advance.
