bwahahahha. :D good plan, good plan.

And for the record, no. 3 really did happen, you know. Ask your daughter.

As for no. 4, it's purely speculation on my part. She neither denied nor confirmed it, so one wonders...

Ta Yang: You should ignore 3 & 4. I initially wrote this without any intention of sharing this with the family, but it's just too juicy to not send, you know. I couldn't resist. Hehehe.

I agree. Baby grew up on her own. But she also had the love and support of a wonderful mom (you), an iron-willed surrogate (my mom), and three doting sisters (us tres marias). Still, other kids have so much more, and yet they can't seem to get past smaller obstacles. Your daughter really is one of a kind. But then again, you already know that, don't you? :)

I can't help but laugh at this. Everything is true except 3 & 4. It's easier for me to just ignore them.

Wow Yan, I forgot about the green short skirt that she didn't want to be washed. As much as I wanted to, I can not take credit of how she becomes. She grew up on her own having parents who are buluyagon hahaha... she's forced to grow up. We've got the genes and she is exposed to the situation. Nature and Nurture... she is hybrid.

Bitaw one reason could be the self-help books that I used to read and she browsed. She read them as early as 8yrs old and before she even comprehends, she is already exposed to them. SO maybe it is stuck in her subconscious.

Xyzha is a very special kid in her own simple way. Can't wait to read it.

Great job Yan!

My apologies. Somehow, I've always figured that my strength came from my Mom's side of the family - I mean look at my Mom. And just look at the extraordinary life of my late Lola Pilar.

But on second thought, the "superwoman" gene is dominant in both sides of my family.

hah! no wonder.

I have to say that Ta Yang's influence has a lot to do with Baby's strength of character. It's really not fair to say that Babe's resilience is uncharacteristic of our gene pool, because we have so many strong women in our family. Just take a look at the living matriarch in Moalboal. :D
