What’s Up With Philhosting?

By Yan • Sep 15th, 2007 • Category: Random Tidbits

In the past 30 days, my blog has been down at least 10 times. What’s wrong with Philhosting?

A shout out to the folks at Philhosting: you need to upgrade your servers asap. Don’t wait for me (and other annoyed customers like me) to switch to a more reliable hosting company.

“Cheaper is not always better,” Mark always says.

How true. How true, indeed.

  1. Well, I’m one of the annoyed customers. Count me in. Instead of getting another domain from them, I bought it somewhere else. I even started hosting other sites with the one I bought.

I will just wait for the expiration of my service with them and migrate it on the other one that i have.

    Nakakainis ano?

  2. hi. i was transferring to philhost and now i found out that their domain is parked. i searched for philhost, and this is where google led me. thanks for these info. I already paid them 550, but curious now with their kind of service.

  3. You want your bogger to be famous? It’s 3 SIMPLE STEP!!!

    Step 1. Host your site/blog to philhosting.net

Step 2. Create an negative reviews of philhosting.net even there is no downtime.

Step 3. Search philhosting.net reviews at yahoo or google.

It’s very easy!!! What your waiting for? Host it to philhosting.net!!!

  4. BitterLyf. I’m sorry, but you’re hilarious.

    (can you spell m-i-n-i-o-n?)

  5. i think BitterLyf can spell that @Yan

  6. With hosting it’s best to stick with the big players. I’ve had way to much downtime to toy around with lesser names.

One of the best ways to find a good host is to type in hosting on google. Look for the one’s that comes up without an affiliate program, then check for reviews. People are not linking it just for a buck.

  7. Im also hosted on Philhosting, did you move your site to a new host? And if so, mind if you tell me how your new host is better than philhosting? Im also considering moving my site. Thanks!

  8. Philhosting’s tech support really suck. Sending complaints on email doesn’t give u an instant answer. And when you called them up, they will tell you to email your fucking complaints. Pish! Grrrrr

  9. holy backwowing piece of amphibian dump, i can;t count how many times my site was down. arrrg and now its down again, what the heck, it’s like posting a notice of apology offsets bad service.

so where can we get a better hosting service? anoyjuan?

  10. weee, philhosting is still down, /pig  i can’t upload my dasign.

    sucks.

any better hosting company to transfer to?

  11. Well, I’m one of the dissatisfied customers of philhosting. It’s been 3 weeks now that our website is down. How I wish that they can will be professional enough for their customer’s satisfaction.

  12. Same as here. My site is down for 5 days they fix it at 6th and then every other day it is not accessible even plesk. They change the file permission without any notice. The owner of the hosting company is Ruel Mindoro as i dont know if he is aware of what is happening to this company? All staff are stupid and Lazy. I can only say that its a waste of time on this company and dont be fooled by their cheapest plan. PHILHOSTING.NET IS THE WORST (VERYVERY WORST 0HOSTING COMPANY IN THE PHILIPPINES.

  13. Now my site is down again, good thing fubargenre is not affected

  14. I used to host my site to them and a few weeks before my due I have been experiencing this kind of problem.
The worst is I cannot access my own plesk and the FTP password isn’t working. last resort. I had them refresh the whole site and would mean resetting what’s in there already.

  15. I believe Philhosting.net never learned any lesson at all and just continue doing their monkey business. Until now, the issues which were raised here and any other sites still occur. I was so patient with them before, but recently, i had this major issue with them which I can no longer take and tolerate. See my post at http://edarevalo.multiply.com

Maybe, it’s time to take greater moves to shake this web host and let them realize that their customers deserve to get what Philhosting.net is offering but apparently, they failed to deliver.

  16. Anyway, what’s so funny about this is that Bitterfly. That same comment which was posted last May 2008 suddenly appears on my blog at multiply just yesterday. Is this how Philhosting.net handles the issues raised by their clients?

This time, they should learn how to be professional and start going back to business school and take up classes on Business Law and Ethics.

I pity them, they messed up with the wrong person. I’m taking another move. And I need the support of those who were misled and victimized by this company.

  17. Philhosting is always down is not 30 days about 12 months the sever is down

  18. @zybertronix “They change the file permission without any notice” THIS IS SO TRUE. unethical, bastos and no consideration to others. Wala lang sila talaga pakealam sau pera mo lang. I know the owner Ruel Mindoro he is the “only” tech guy jan sa company na yan at sya talaga mismo ang pumapalpak hinde ang staff nya. Bakit bano ang support?? Kasi naman may day job pa yan si Ruel Mindoro sa modnet. Hinde sya full time sa business nya kaya ayun panay delays at palpak. Ung Bitterlyf malamang si Ruel Mindoro rin yan. bano grammar eh. Bano kasi mag english yun Ruel na yun. Mali-mali grammar.

    Basta eto lang masasabi ko..

    Philhosting.net = FAILhosting.net = HORROR

    Hanap na kayo ng iba.

  19. @BitterLyf

“Step 2. Create an negative reviews of philhosting.net even there is no downtime”

    OMG Ruel mangilabot ka naman!

  20. Hello,

This is a good news for those customers of registrar OnlineNIC/ Philhosting.net who had problems with previous transfer requests should now be able to transfer their domains to a different registrar if they wish. Please see this article on ICANN (there is already a court ruling dated May 15, 2009) Please see the link below

    http://icann.org/en/announcements/announcement-15may09-en.htm

    Cheers to all

  21. I have recently signed up with Philhosting.net as they do not require full year payment. That means that I can get out of their service anytime without losing out on fees. However, it is taking them a lot of time to activate my account despite repeated requests. I am still waiting up to now.
