FUBARgenre: The Genre of Fubar

This year, I celebrated my birthday with a splash. Literally.

Coinciding with the International Cleanup Day, my birthday saw a huge turn out of avid divers at Scuba World Punta Engaño. Unfortunately, I was too busy to participate in the actual morning cleanup (story of my life). Luckily, I arrived just in time to see the debut performance of The Narcs, a band formed for the mere purpose of providing some groove to the Splash for Trash event.

The Narcs is basically Hastang minus Tessa, who’s currently in Manila for a job-related training. Taking over vocal duties were Mark’s two superstar cousins, Rod and Irving:

New theme song for divers: “I’ll be there for you. These five words I swear to you. When you breathe, I have my octopus for you. I’ll be there for you…”

The crowd loved them! (”I love you, Roooodddd!” screamed all the infatuated females. “I know you do,” was his casual response.)

Thank you, God, for another wonderful year.

In spite of the many challenges that came my way this year, I am proud to say that I am very happy with my life. I am blessed with so much love. I can’t ask for anything more. Life is good. God is good.
