Confirmed: Neil Gaiman to Speak at 20th Philippine Ad Congress

By Yan • Sep 22nd, 2007 • Category: Random Tidbits

I’ve been out of the advertising world for 3-4 years now, but it helps that I still have some friends who just love to keep me updated (taunting me until I salivate, in some cases). Anyway, I’ve been told that the Neil Gaiman rumor that’s been floating around for months now is true indeed. That’s right, folks. Neil Gaiman, the god of contemporary spec fic, is coming back to the Philippines for the 20th Philippine Ad Congress. (see me jumping up and down? er, the drool on my mouth is just for show. heh.)

According to Adobo Magazine, Gaiman will discuss “Imagination and Creativity in the Contemporary World.” This announcement is a couple of months old, and I’m still trying to get hold of more details.

I’ve been told that you can sign up for Gaiman’s talk for only P1,500 (on top of ad congress registration fees, of course), but I can’t seem to find further information about the subject online. If anyone has any additional details, please do let me know. I’m dying to find out.

The 20th Philippine Ad Congress is slated for November 21st to 24th, 2007, at the Subic Bay Convention Center. You may register online at 20thadcongress-theneworder.com.
