BigMakoy’s Trick of Light

By Yan • Jan 19th, 2008 • Category: Top Picks

BigMakoy
He wears many faces.

You know him as the dark, imposing figure who walks the earth as an entrepreneur, a savvy player with a keen sense for the intricacies of the game.

But at odd hours and at heightened tides, he becomes possessed with the rhythmic, pulsating beat of his soul, the music emanating from his body in long, ardent chrysanthemum explosions.

At dusk, when purple brushes paint the sky in long powerful strokes, he is at once master and slave. Both a mighty conqueror and a vanquished soldier. Both powerful and powerless. Fierce pillager, humbled servant. Both.

And now, he wears the face of a photographer. Capturing form, shape, and substance with his lens. Creating beauty in deformity. Creating profundity out of the mundane.

BigMakoy: Trick of Light

Bigmakoy. My Bigmakoy.

He says it’s all but a trick of light.

I say there’s no trick at all.

I love you, baby.

With all my heart. With all my soul.
