About the Torjans
The Torj Photo Club is a diverse group of photography enthusiasts consisting of newbies, hobbyists, and even professionals. Unlike most photography groups, the Torj team is not limited to one photography format. The group encompasses digital shooters, film lovers, and lomographers, among others. The common denominator for all club members is the passion for photography and the drive to develop their craft.

How Torj Came to Be
The club was formed last August when Mark organized a street photo walk which he jokingly dubbed “Torj” (long story. ask Atty. Jan Ralph Perez. 
).
Torj, Mark insists, was never really intended to be a formal organization. However, a week later, the Gestalt concept (though at that time it wasn’t known as such) was conceived (by fellow Torjan Jaclyn Abregana), and the need to organize the Torjan forces became somewhat necessary.
The exhibit, for its part, was initially meant to be a solo showcase for Jaclyn. That she became a part of the Torj photo walk - and consequently, of the Torj Photo Club - was perhaps a twist of fate.
With the help of Torj founder Mark Austin Ladanan (known to most as BigMakoy), the Gestalt concept soon evolved into a collaboration of photo enthusiasts showcasing a range of diverse, dynamic, and powerfully evocative pieces.
Yan (a.k.a. Yannie, YanYan) is a young-ish entrepreneur, writer, poet, artist, graphic designer, web geek, lover, friend, daughter, connoisseur, gourmand, amateur chef, coffee addict, control freak, and incessant dreamer. Not necessarily in that order.

I think your club name is AWESOME! Torj has been my nickname for the last 29 years, dating back to high school. I thought I’d google the name for the heck of it and came up with your sight. Great coincidence. I even have a daughter who is into photography and will be studying photography in college.
